How does Kerbsides works?

As any social media platform you will have to follow users to see what they are posting.

Create a Map of Australia and dynamically pin on it all the kerbs to show on each user's screen might be simple for a database wih a dozen users but if the platform scalate and hundreds of users posts daily, is a tasks difficult to achieve and not even functional.

So I developed the application thinking that users have to follow other users of their area or areas of interest > then collect that information from the database and display on the map.

By default you are following my account, but I'm at Canton Beach NSW 2663 so if you don´t focus the map on that area you won´t see my kerbs on the map even!

Realize that each user map is focusing by default on the user profile location area, the one that you define when registering on the site.

Now your job as a user is search other users and areas to start watching their posts, as in any other social network. So once you follow new users, the map will display their post automatically.

If you navigate the site, side widgets will come up suggesting you to follow users from your area, couldn't be easier than that but... you can always use 2 more methods to find users:

1) Go to the menu item > USERS and introduce the suburbs you're after to check if there are users registered there and obviously if they're posting > FOLLOW THEM.

2) Eventually, when you visit the site, you can just quick look clicking on location tags, so you will be able to see what the users are posting there lately.

The most important!

Yeah, your job as a user is search for other users and/or areas through the menu tools "Users" and the "location tags" from the ads or the search function, as you do in any other social network so once you follow new users the map on the Road will display automatically their posts.

But keep in mind that the most important thing is to post kerbs. The photos are not collected from cameras on the streets, lol I wish.

Each user has to contribute by posting new kerbs. I can't complaint about no one posting on my area, when I'm not posting on my area, do you get it? As simple as what you give is what you get: the more users posting from each area, the better.

Enjoy!

Update your profile or search others kerbbies around you, remember that as any other social network you have to follow other users to see their posts.
